The plan is to start 2009 with a study of James in the New Testament. For this week, if you have a study Bible, please read the Introduction to the Book of James and come prepared to share one or two things that you did not know about the letter previously. If you do not have a study Bible, you can do a search in several Bible dictionaries on the Bible Gateway.

When starting a study like this, it is helpful as well to read the entire Epistle through in one sitting. If you have time to do this before we begin studying it in parts each week, that would be great. Also, if you want to order the Bible Study guide we will be using, follow the link below. It is not required as I will be posting the required reading and questions on the blog, but may be helpful to get the most out of the study. The Guide is called James: Faith that Works by Andrew and Phyllis Le Peau.

I look forward to the next 9 weeks in James!
