As we transition to our next study, I have given a lot of thought to what the goals of our Friday morning group should be. Specifically, I believe every man who regularly attends or visits should know what we are about or said another way, our purpose for meeting each week. This way we can encourage and hold each other accountable and as the facilitator, you can test my leadership/actions against this purpose.
So here it goes....
The purpose of the JRC Men's Bible Study is to create "Real Life Change" through Bible study, Fellowship and Christian community, in support of the larger Body of Christ. "Real Life Change" involves men learning to engage Christ and each other in a new way, with the result being a greater commitment to allowing God to live in and through us each day.
I would really like your thoughts on what you feel our purpose should be. Post a comment or drop me an email with what the group means to you. I will gather these all up and refine the purpose based on your feedback.
